Suzette Lamb, LPC-S

Suzette brings tremendous experience from having served as the clinical director of a foster/adoption agency for almost 20 years. Suzette received her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy from Our Lady of the Lake University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor with clinical experience that includes group, individual, marital and family therapy in residential and outpatient settings as well as working EAP, university counseling and crisis intervention.

Suzette has extensive training in attachment, adoption, and trauma. Some of her advanced trainings include EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), adapting EMDR for children with preverbal and attachment trauma, Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI®), Circle of Security Parent Educator, and the ALERT Program (for self-regulation and sensory processing disorder). Suzette has begun training in Somatic Experiencing as well as DEEP (Dynamic Enriched Experiential Psychotherapy). She is an experienced trainer and able to quickly help parents identify tools and techniques to calm their children's challenging behaviors.

Suzette is a sought-after trainer and presenter due to her dynamic, interactive, and easy-to-understand style of presenting. She has presented on topics including "Sensory Regulation for Children & Their Parents," "Preparing for Children for Adoption" and "Parenting from the Heart With the Brain in Mind," based on the neuroscientific work of Daniel Siegel, MD and others. She also frequently provides new and innovative trainings statewide of Behavior Intervention topics for caregivers who are experiencing challenges in their everyday lives with children.
